The minimum wage could rise from ₹18,000 to around ₹34,000 – ₹41,000 depending where you fall on the Pay Matrix, which means that even the lowest paid employees will be experiencing an increase in basic pay from ₹16,000 – ₹23,000.
8th Pay Commission DA Reset and Allowance Changes
When the new pay commission comes into effect, it also resets Dearness Allowance (DA) back to zero. It merges the accumulated DA into the new basic pay and then after that DA starts to increase every six months again.
